For those who don’t know me I love music. I am a fan of both Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees. When I heard that there was a season 4 for a show called The Sing-Off and that Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees was hosting again and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was going to be a judge again I had to watch the show. I’ve never seen the first three seasons but I decided to watch. It is an a capella singing show where teams sing a capella to songs and each episode one team goes home until there are three teams left in the finals and one team becomes the winner and wins $100,000 and a Sony Records recording contract.
On the first episode a group by the name of Home Free sang Cruise by Florida Georgia Line. The group consists of five guys who sing a capella country style. They are Tim Foust, Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp and Chris Rupp. They don’t always sing country songs but they do all songs country style. When I heard them sing cruise I instantly became a fan. I then heard Tim Foust singing in bass and he was simply amazing. The second episode they sang Life is a Highway by Rascal Flatts and Tim’s bass voice got lower. I didn’t think it was possible to get this low but he did it. This is when I knew I was becoming a fan and was a ‘Home Fry’.
They have released an album on iTunes and Amazon called Crazy Life and are going on The Sing-Off Tour. You should listen to their album. You won’t be disappointed and may even become a fan yourself.
