BEFORE YOU BEGIN know how to make a Right Hand Double Knot, Left Hand Double Knot, Single Right Single Left Hand Knot and a Single Left Single Right Hand Knot.

1. Pick 3 different colors. This instruction uses purple, black & white. You will need 1 strand of purple, 3 strands of black & 3 strands of white. Purple is only used as a border color. You can choose any color that you would like for the border.

2. Align string, fold in half, and tie knot 1/2 from fold forming a loop.

3. Attach your string to something using a safety pin or attach to a clipboard.

4. Separate strings from 1 to 14. Use the same color for strings 1 & 14 (purple), 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12 (black) & 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 & 13 (white). This will align the colors of your bracelet pattern.

5. To begin, take string #1 (purple) and make a single right single left hand knot with string #2 (black). String #1 (purple) will stay as string #1

6. Take string #3 (white) and make a single right single left hand knot with string #4 (black). String #3 (white) will stay as string #3.

7. Take string #5 (white) and make a single right single left hand knot with string #6 (black). String #5 (white) will stay as string #5.

8. Take string #7 (white) and make a single right single left hand knot with string #8 (black). String #7 (white) will stay as string #7.

9. Take string #9 (white) and make a single right single left hand knot with string #10 (black). String #9 (white) will stay as string #9.

10. Take string #11 (white) and make a single right single left hand knot with string #12 (black). String #11 (white) will stay as string #11.

11. Take string #14 (purple) and make a single left single right hand knot with string #13 (white). String #14 (purple) will stay as string #14.

12. Take string #3 (white) and make a single left single right hand knot with string #2 (black). String #3 (white) will stay as string #3.

13. Take string #5 (white) and make a single left single right hand knot with string #4 (black). String #5 (white) will stay as string #5.

95. Take string #13 (white) and make a single left single right hand knot with string #12 (black). String #13 (white) will stay as string #13.

96. At this point your pattern will now repeat itself. Repeat steps 5-95 to continue the pattern until your bracelet is long enough to fit your wrist.

97. Once you bracelet is long enough to fit your wrist take strings 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 in your left hand and strings 11, 12, 13 & 14 in your right hand and braid with the remaining 4 center strings.

98. Take the braided strings and tie two basic knots at the end of your friendship bracelet.

99. Unpin or unclip your friendship bracelet and cut off the excess braided section. Your friendship bracelet is ready to wear or share with your best friend or mom.
