Libby walked into the guest room to find Valerie and Justin sitting on the bed talking to each other quietly. She cleared her throat to make her presence known, and they both looked up at her with a greeting of smiles.

"Hey, you two just gonna be antisocial for the rest of the night, or come and join in the game?"

"What game are you guys playing?" Valerie asked.

"Truth or dare, of course!"

"Oh, no, I'm still emotionally scarred from the last time we played truth or dare with you. I never wanna relive that experience again," Justin said as he got up form his seat on the bed.

" Don't be such a baby, J. I'll take it easy on you this time since Val's here," she saw his reluctant look, so added, "Besides, you're not getting out of this anyway. Everyone has to play."

He sighed heavily. "I guess I will then, but "I'm not taking any dares form you!"

"Suite yourself, Curly."

"What was the dare anyway?" Valerie asked, not having a clue what they were talking about.

"No way, I plead the 5th on this one," Justin stated.

"You don't have to. Remember? We made that pact, that whatever happens during a game of truth or dare stays inside the game and isn't discussed afterwards," Libby said.

"Yeah, I forgot. Thanks for reminding me, Lib." He walked ahead of the two girls as they made their way out of the guest room and to the living room.

"You're gonna tell me later then?" Val asked Libby in a whisper so he couldn't hear.

"Oh, hell yeah! I've even got the pictures JC and I took of it without the little Curly headed one knowing."

Valerie giggled. "I so gotta see those!"

Justin and Valerie took a seat on the floor at the foot of the couch JC and Jacquelyn sat cuddling on, and Libby made herself comfortable on the armrest of the chair Joey sat on while Chris was sitting in the other chair across from them. He rubbed his hands together mischievously.

"Let's get this game started. Shall I begin?"

"Go for it, CK," Libby said.

He scanned the small group of faces for his first victim, his eyes landing on Joey. An evil grin speed across his face. "Joseph, truth or dare?"

Joey thought carefully before he answered, he knew what kind of wicked dares Chris could think of so decided upon the other option. "Truth."

Chris's grin became even more evil, if that was possible, and Joey knew he had made a terrible mistake in taking truth. "Alright, Joe. Could you please tell the room here exactly what you and Libby had snuck off to do the other night when we were over here last?"

Joey turned bright red. "You sneaky little bastard! I can't believe you!"

"We're waiting for your answer, Joe."

He looked as if he were in pain as he said under his breath, barely audible, "We were making out."

"what was that? I don't think we quite heard you."

"Fine, we were making out! are you satisfied now?" Joey's voice had reached the double decibels, and everyone in the room was quite sure all of Orlando now knew how pissed off he was. "I don't want to play this stupid game anymore, I'm outta here."

He stormed out of the living room, and through the back door of the kitchen, slamming it shut behind him.

"I'll go talk to him," Libby said, getting up from the chair's armrest and following after Joey.

The other 4 sat in a shocked silence, until Justin finally asked, "Do you think we should continue or just end the game there?"

Chris stood up, declaring, "You 4 can play, but I've had enough off this game for a while now. See ya guys back at Justin's later." And with that he walked out the front door leading the others behind where they were.

"I guess that leaves just us then," JC said. "So, Val truth or dare?"

Libby walked up to the wooden swing Joey sat on, sitting down next to him. She looked at him with concern, asking him, "You ok, Joey Bear?"

"I'm fine, just a little upset and confused I guess."

"Why so confused?"

"Well, for one I'm confused as to why Chris would take something that far like he did. I just don't understand why he'd do something like that to me," he turned to look her in eye. "But what I'm most of all confused about is us, Lib."

"I didn't think there was an 'us,' though."

"That's what's confusing me. I like you a lot, Lib, and I want really to be with you, but I'm not sure you feel the same. And after what happened the other night, I'm even more confused now."

Libby took his hands in hers. "I really like you too, and I want there to be an 'us' also. I just never knew that's how you felt."

He leaned in, placing his lips on hers. After awhile he parted her lips with his tongue, letting it slip into her mouth. When their lips finally parted Libby rested her head on his chest.

"What do we do now?"

"You wanna give it a shot at 'us'?"

"Yeah, I'd like that."

"Me too."

"Dare," Libby and Joey heard Valerie say when they walked back into the living room hand-in-hand.

"I'm afraid that's the wrong choice, Val. You see, it would've been alright with just those 3 to decide your inevitable fate, but with me here to help them you don't stand a chance, girly," Libby told her.

The occupants of the room looked up at her and Joey. They all immediately saw the two's enjoined hands and happy faces. Justin took it upon himself to confirm they assumptions were true, "So you two are together now, Lib?"

"Yes, Brillo-Head, but forget us. We've got a game to play, remember?" Her and Joey huddled up with JC and Jacquelyn, leaving the two youngest out, while they decided on what to dare Val. Suddenly JC pulled out from the huddle, an evil grin spread across his face much like Chris's was not even 15 minutes before.

"I dare you to kiss Justin."

Val took a deep breath before she took her dare. She leaned in toward Justin, and placed her lips on his red cheek, kissing him gently. When she pulled away from him, both her and Justin's faces had turned the exact shade of red.

"Aw, look, they're blushing," Jacquelyn commented, making the other 3 laugh.

Joey yelled, "That's cheating, you have to really kiss him!"

"All JC said was to kiss him, not where. Therefore, I did my dare just as I was told," she replied coolly.

"I told you I had a smart cousin. Just goes to show not to fool with us Lawrence's 'cos we'll show you up," Libby said with pride.

"You must be adopted or something then, Lib," Justin spat sarcastically.

"I got one word for you, Curly Boy, and that's run!" Justin jumped up from his spot on the floor, and started to run for the back door before Libby could catch him. He made it out to the backyard, Libby close behind. After a few minutes, Justin screamed in pain when Libby finally caught him. She dragged him back into the house by his left ear.

"Ok, ok, I'm sorry!" Justin yelled, trying to get away from Libby's grasp.

"Say Libby's the greatest, and that you are not worthy enough to be even in my presence."

"Oh hell no!" She pinched even harder, until it stopped the blood flow in his ear. "Alright, alright! I'll say it!"

"Say what?"

"Libby, you're the greatest, and I'm not even worthy to be in your presence. Are you happy now?"

"Completely" she let go of his ear, as he began to rub it, trying to relieve the pain.

"I think you might've broken part of my ear or something."

"Good, you deserved it. Teach you not to mess with those of higher intelligence than you."

Justin opened his mouth to comment, but Valerie covered his mouth with her hand. "Haven't you already learned your lesson?" she asked him. He nodded his head, and she dropped her hand.

"So, I'm guessing that's the end of truth or dare," JC commented.

"Yeah, this night has been way too eventful to continue," Jacquelyn said, then turned to face JC. "Hey, babe, I'm gonna go home. Are you coming over tonight or going back to Justin's?"

JC stretched before standing up, and taking his girlfriend's hand. "I'll take you home and figure out if I'm gonna stay then or not." She nodded and got up with his help, following him out the door. "See ya guys!" they both called out to the others as they left.

"Bye!" Val and Libby yelled back to them in unison.

Libby turned to Joey, "You stayin' the night here, baby?"

"As long as I'm welcome," he replied.

"You're always welcome here."

"Oh, please, spare us from having to throw up," Justin said grumpily.

Libby shot him a death look. "You better watch it, boy."

He threw his hands up in the air to ward off any attack. "Sorry."

"Well, Joey and I are going to my room. See y'all in the morning," Libby and Joey got up from their seat on the chair, and walked to Libby's room. Right as she was about to shut the door to her room, she yelled back to them. "Don't forget to behave you two!"

"Yeah, like Val is gonna try and take advantage of me."

"I was talking to you, Justin!"

Justin rolled his eyes, while Valerie began to laugh. They sat in silence for a couple minutes after that, until Justin asked, "You wanna go for a walk?"

"Sure," Val answered, and followed him out the front door. They walked together down the road him, Libby, and the others all lived on. It was late at night, but with the street lights still on it wasn't hard to see where they were going. They made it to the beach, and walked down to close to the water's edge together before sitting down on the cold sand.

"Are you having fun down here with us, Val?" Justin asked.

"Yes, I am. you guys are great, I'm glad I get to spend the rest of the summer with y'all," Val answered.

"Is your boyfriend coming down to visit sometime then?"

She shook her head sadly. "Nope, I don't think so."

"Sorry, I'll change the subject if you don't wanna talk about it. It's none of my business anyway."

"It's ok, Justin, you don't have to apologize. But, um, have you lived in Orlando all your life?"

"No, I moved from Memphis."

"Should've guessed form your Tennessee accent."

"I like your accent, Val, its real sexy."

She giggled. "You really think that?"

"Yeah, especially when you're acting all embarrassed and start to blush, just like you are now." She turned away so he couldn't see her cheeks begin to turn an even brighter shade of red. He put a finger under her chin, turning her head to face him again. "Why are you hiding it from me? You're so cute when you start to blush."

She shook her head. "No, I'm not."

He was gazing into her beautiful hazel eyes, as if he couldn't get enough of them. She had him under a spell at that moment, even if she hadn't meant to put him under one, she did.

"You have beautiful eyes, Justin," she told him.

He chuckled softly. "Is that a line?"

"Yeah."

"Well, it worked."
