O-Town Concert Tickets

Just bought my tickets to see O-Town perform at Durty Nellie’s on April 29 in Palatine, IL. I am so excited. I still need to buy VIP for the show so that I can meet Erik-Michael Estrada. I can’t wait to see him again. I’ll wear the Townie shirt that Cassie is making for us, my Townie & EManiac bracelets from Jessicca and my Townie friendship bracelet I made.

O-Town Concert

Today my mom and I went to the O-Town concert at Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill in Bolingbrook, IL. That place was so disorganized. They didn’t know how to handle everyone. Fans were not listening and doing what they want. Different people were telling us different things to do and not to do.

Anyways, my mom and I got to the bar around 3:30 PM because the VIP email said to be there by 4:30 PM. We were allowed to go in an sit and wait until everything started. O-Town was running late. They finally took the stage for soundcheck. We had to form a line and they checked out IDs and checked our name off the list. I was able to be in the very front of the soundcheck.

Afterwards we formed another line and I was able to get a picture with them. Mike, the tour manager, said no selfies so I couldn’t get one with Erik-Michael. I gave Dan my camera. He shook my hand and I asked him if he could sign my t-shirt and he took it along with the marker to sign it. He asked my name and I said Joy. I hugged him. While he was signing the shirt Jacob asked me my name and I said Joy. He said what a joy to have here. I hugged him and then I hugged Erik-Michael and Trevor. I stood between Erik-Michael and Jacob because I wanted to be next to Erik-Michael. I showed them the bracelet I made and Erik-Michael said that was so cool. After the picture taking Jacob told Erik-Michael to sign the shirt. He and Trevor signed the shirt and Trevor handed it to me along with the market. I moved over to the side to wait for Tanya for a bit but then I left to go look for my mom. I showed her the signed t-shirt.

She was waiting on the line to get out wristbands as to where we would be standing or sitting. One guy told the guy that was going to give us the wristbands to wait until 6:30 PM but then he said he wanted to wait until everyone was done with picture taking. The guy finally gave us our wristbands and Bob told us to wait past the lottery machine and maybe even wait on the other side of the bar so we do not block the line for the wristbands. Fans were going to where the tables were and we told them where the line was and they would not listen. Many of us including my mom were getting mad because we were supposed to be first. We would not seats up front. My mom told Bob and he had someone tell them to move but they wouldn’t listen. She told him again and he told a few of us that we could take out seats. Some guy came and told us we had to leave and my mom and another girl told him that Bob said we could take our seats. He asked Bob and told us we would stay.

Eventually the first opening act started. It was a group called Goldhouse. They performed for 1/2 an hour. Another opening act took the stage. His name was Chris Koon. I remembered him from the other O-Town concert I went to in Joliet, IL. Afterwards O-Town eventually took the stage.

O-Town started with the song 1. Liquid Dreams. That was such a great song. I love that song. They did several other songs before leaving the stage….2. Girl, 3. Right Kind of Wrong, 4. Sexiest Woman Alive, 5. We Fit Together, 6. I Won’t Lose, 7. Love Should Be a Crime, 8. Buried Alive, 9. Covers Medley, 10. I Showed Her, 11. These Are the Days, 12. Favorite Girl, 13. Rewind, 14. Lines & Circles, 15. Playing With Fire and 16. Skydive. They came back to perform 17. All or Nothing and 18. Chasin’ After You. After the last song Jacob said if you buy a t-shirt from the merchandise table they would stay and sign it for everyone that buys after the concert.

I already got a t-shirt signed at the meet & greet so I asked mom where the table was for the signing and we found it by the entrance/exit door. We waited there for them and when they showed up I took pictures of them. They did not want us taking pictures during the signing. They wanted the line to keep moving…sign and leave.

I had one of the best times I ever had. My mom even got to meet Tanya, her mom and dad, Cassie and other O-Town fans.

THANKS O-TOWN FOR SUCH A GREAT NIGHT.

P.S. ERIK-MICHAEL LIKED THREE OF MY PICTURE TWEETS OF HIM FROM THE CONCERT ON TWITTER.

O-Town Concert

I arrived around 4:30 PM. My mom had just driven by Mojoes when I saw Jacob. I said to my mom that is one of the guys from O-Town. That is Jacob. My mom stopped the car. I rolled down the window and waved at him. He came towards the car and I opened the door. He shook my hand and said, “Stay Warm.” I said, “Jacob this is my mom.” We parked the car and went to Juliet’s because I had to use the bathroom. I arrived at Mojoes around 4:45 PM. There were three girls already there. Two black girls and one white girl. Two black girls were standing in a parking space. One of them said that Todd Carey asked them to save a parking spot for him. He said he would give them a CD if they did.

Todd Carey parked his car and stopped by to say hi to everyone. He hugged everyone and took pictures. He is so nice. He made a fan out of me.

Todd Carey

This girl with her mother showed up. They are from Effingham, IL. We waited awhile and then O-Town showed up to do sound check. They brought everything into the place. Jacob stopped to hug everyone. Erik-Michael smiled and waved from across the street. I love his smile.

Jessica and Cassie showed up. They hugged me and then went to hand out bracelets to everyone that was there. They gave each of them a bracelet of their favorite guy. After everyone got bracelets Jessicca said I get a bundle of all 5 bracelets for saving a spot in line for them. They talked about who they were, that I won a ticket from them and how I won.

7 of us stayed inside because it was freezing. We were able to go inside first. A guy asks for your ticket plus ID. Then you go inside where one of two guys will ask to see your ID. If you are 21 or over they give you a wristband so that you can buy drinks. Jessicca and Cassie stood dead center of the stage and Jessicca motioned for me to stand next to her. The opening opener was Chris Coon. Three times he went up the little platform where the table with Jacob’s laptop was and kept jumping and moving around. Jacob’s laptop was shaking all three times. I thought it was going to fall. Jessicca next to me kept screaming at him saying, “What are you doing? Stop, get off of there.” She was throwing her hands trying to get his attention.

Next was Todd Carey. He did some of his songs from his latest album, a medley of boy band songs, a song he co-wrote for Meghan Trainor, and his new single, Nintendo. Nintendo is my favorite song of his.

Finally O-Town came out. They sang:
1. Liquid Dreams
2. Girl

Then Trevor introduced the three guys starting with Dan, then Erik-Michael and then Jacob. Jacob introduced Trevor. Then they sang:
3. I Won’t Lose
4. Love Should Be a Crime
5. We Fit Together
6. Wobble
7. Right Kind of Wrong
8. I Showed Her
9. These Are the Days

During These Are the Days Jacob tells everyone to have out their phones and cameras and start taking a video. He came down to the little area between the stage and the railing and took fans phones and cameras and took video selfies of himself with you. He stopped in front of me and I kept trying to give him my phone. He took two other phones and cameras from behind me before taking mine and doing a video selfie with it. I couldn’t believe I got it.

Then they sang:
10. Rewind
11. A medley of songs: Otis/Celing Can’t Hold Us/I Need a Dollar/Money On My Mind
12. Lines & Circles
13. Playing With Fire
14. Skydive

They left but eventually came back out to sing:
15. All or Nothing
16. Chasin’ After You

After this you could go meet Todd Carey by the merchandise table and talk and take pictures with him. The O-Town meet and greet was upstairs. You have to fall in line and show a guy your ticket. Then you go upstairs where a guy will ask for your ticket again. Then right before you go inside a third guy will ask for your ticket and cross you off the list.

When you get inside you give Chris (their tour manager) your phone or camera and then Dan says, “Hi, I’m Dan.” Then he shakes your hand and hugs you. He asks me if I’ve met Jacob and I said yes, outside. Then Jacob hugs me. After that I was just too excited to hug Erik-Michael so I just went up to him to hug him. He smiled at me and asked me what my name was. I said Joy. He said, “Nice to meet you Joy. Did you like the show and did you have fun tonight?” I said yes. I had the best time ever. I hugged Erik-Michael and didn’t want to let go of him. Then I heard one of the guys say, “What about Trevor?” I let go of Erik-Michael and hugged Trevor. Then I stood between Erik-Michael and Trevor and Chris took the picture. Chris was about to give me back my phone when I asked Erik-Michael if I could have one with just him and he asked Chris to take the picture of just us two.

Best night ever. I had the time of my life. Thanks O-Town and Erik-Michael Estrada. I’ll never forget this.

When I went inside I asked Dan Miller if they are signing the t-shirt and he said that they didn’t have a pen and I didn’t have one either so i didn’t get the t-shirt signed. I had bought a small because I wasn’t gonna wear it. I was gonna get it signed and frame it. Next time they are in town I will have to go and do another meet and greet and get it signed then. I’ll bring a silver pen then. This was my first meet and greet so I didn’t know what to expect. Now I do know.
